Lokk personallu x2 was shit if it had not been for the speacial effects then it would have flopped why? because if Jean at the end powered the damn pnae then why didn't she just do that in the first place why did she have to get out and die

Has anyone seen the X- Men show (the original) or the comics?

In those Jean "dies" and becomes the entity known as "Pheonix". It made her get out of the plane.

Gambit SHOULD be in the movies... Cause if it's based off of those, Gambit and Rogue are sort of a couple. In the comics and in the show, Rogue and Ice- Man were never a couple.

I loved both films (the second one more than the first).
There were a lot of comments posted that I agree with (ex. the failed attempt to make the dam breaking look hopeless) but I think the films were well done, I enjoyed watching them. For the issue on how some characters were not revealed yet (ex. Gambit) I agree as well but I actually like it when they save the better characters for later on, revealing more characters in each film and building up to their storylines. Hope this makes sense!

As for the comment on how their costumes were black and white (I think that was the comment) this is explained in the X2 dvd in the extras section, it is explained that colour costumes look weird or less life like in real life compared to the comics.

X-men: the final stand Review

Title: Was the scriptwriter drunk when he wrote the script?

What the hell was that? Professor Xavier and Cyclops get killed by Jean Grey? Mystic and Magneto lose their powers? Mutation has a cure? Are we talking about Marvel’s X-men or some parallel universe’s version of it? As one of the biggest fans of the X-men, I AM OUTRAGED!!!

The so called X-men: the final stand is nothing but an outrage to all fans of the X-men. I don’t understand how they picked up such a great movie’s theme and turn it into that piece of mediocrity…

The only positive aspect of the movie were the special effects, for the plot is horrible and, worst of all, it stands against everything that X-men was meant to be.

Poor Professor Xavier must be incredibly angry inside his coffin (since he died in the movie), because he spent his entire life fighting for mutant’s right to be different and fighting to dismiss the completely wrong idea that mutation is a disease and now… well, according to this “fabulous” movie, there is a cure to mutation! Thus, it seems all those who claimed mutation to be a disease are now positively right.

Honestly, this “cure thing” ruined all the ideals of acceptance and respect for differences that were constantly underlined in the X-men’s comic books and cartoons. It’s sad and revolting…

Besides all I have already mentioned, the fans also have to deal with the loss of Cyclops – all fans of the character, please accept my condolences – , the leader of the X-men, who, according to this movie, should die before the final battle, a fact that couldn’t be more humiliating for the character.

And since we are mentioning characters’ humiliation, what can one say of the villains Mystic and Magneto that simply become humans thanks to “the cure”? Not to talk about the fact that Mystic, shown in the previous movies as Magneto’s right arm, didn’t get the chance to participate in the final battle.

Less important, but also bad was the way the Angel character was treated. I don’t see why they insisted in showing the character on the movie’s posters, because this character was extremely secondary in the whole plot and had only the chance to speak two or three lines!

In conclusion, I must say I didn’t like the previous X-men’s movies very much, but this one surely was the worst of all, in terms of content, for it abolished great ideals, killed dearest characters and, above all, went against all fans’ expectations.

If these three movies were the best they could do when adapting the X-men’s saga into the big screen, then I must say we, X-men’s fans, were given a very mediocre saga.

Instead of making these crazy adaptations, it would have been better if they had just sticked to the comic books’ story, which by the way was a success.

Finally, I must end saying: the X-men deserved a better saga and the only way they could possibly save these three movies would be by making a fourth movie, where they would show that Professor Xavier and Cyclops are still alive (it is possible, since no bodies were found) and where they would show that the so called “cure” was only temporary.

hey did anybody stay after the credits when they watched this film..... apparently Xavier isnt actually dead and its all been left open for another film...

i thought the third 1 wasnt as good as the first two i expected it to be better really.

... I didn't watch into the credits, and now I've hope, because I like Xavier ... but that chess piece in the end, totally moved ... which left it open for another movie anyway.

ye the chess piece did move so you can just see there being another sequal..
but xavier stil being alive hmm it makes you wonder whats coming next really doesnt it... i was quite shocked... you dont actually see him but you like go to hospital scene and you see a nurse tending to someone and all you cna see of the patient is his arm.... and then you hear xavier say something i cnt remember what.... and then thats it.... you have to wait for about 20 mins worth of credits to go up for that smigin of a bit but it avoids alot of confusion if they do release a new one and hes still alive somehow.. i hate it when that happens... they jus bring someone back to life in a film without any explaination as to how... they did it in the blade films when whistler died and then suddenly he was walkin around as if nothing happened in the second one..
