Hey Guys! My sister Janie left a msg on here with similar views to mine. We think Labyrinth rocks. Ive even got the sound track. We think Jareth is fine throughout and would loved to have been sarah when she eats that poisonous peach and ends up at that party, dancing with Jareth. She really is a lucky thang!!

Truth to tell, I watched it when I was little and I remeber I loved but didn't understand it. However, 3 years later I burrowed and Loved it AGAIN! The Labyrinth really, in my view a journey for a young girl named Sarah Who wishes to get her baby brother back from the Goblin king. However, I think that the movie changes into her own personal story as she tries to gow up. A slight bit of romance in it as well. I adore David Bowie's role and his singing and acting!

I think the movie is sooooo cool. I've watched it a million times and I still haven't got tired of it. I need to know where I can find the soundtrack though, because I love the song that David Bowie sings when they're at that strange party. If you haven't seen it yet I'd advise you to watch it as soon as possible, I know you'll love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I first watched this movie when I was 9yrs old, and I am 28 now, and still love it! I thought I was the only one, until I searched the web and found loads of others like me! I always loved the song "as the world falls down" to the point where I would get my tape recorder up near the telly, and tape all the songs off the video. Also had a major crush on Jareth too! Strangely last weekend I was in a remote seaside resort in England and found the soundtrack which I have been trying to find for 19years, so it brought back all my Labyrinth memories once more! Must find that video in my loft.........

David Bowie is my one time idol, though i listen to other music, he is the one that makes me happy when I am down, cranky or shitty. Just looking at him in the cd cover, makes me happy, but Labyrinth! David as Jareth, WOW!!!! He is such a spunk!! God I can't describe it, he just rocks, and yes as another fan of David said "If I had been Sarah, I would have chosen to be with Jareth", not to live my life a living hell, with a crying screaming baby. I have been to two of his concerts, and i have photos of him, singing. God he is cute! Iman, you must be so proud to have David in you're life, and if I was you, I would count each day as a blessing.

I love you David. You are truly my idol, and I love you so much for it!!
Love Rache xxxxxxxxxxxx oooooooooo

To all those who dote on David Bowie as Jareth, consider this ... No criticism, he makes the part work and I think he's quite attractive doing it, but ...

He is trying to depict EVIL. It's evil with a human face, and some sort of human emotion, and there's love involved, but I can only say Henson couldn't have found anyone better to have all of you fall in love with the dark side of power. That's why I still like the film, after years of knowing it and watching it. Evil isn't this big bad monster you're afraid of like many would like us to believe. It's the attractive but slightly dangerous stranger with the sexy appearance.

And in that sense it certainly is a story about growing up and facing choices about how you're going to invest your body and your soul ...

me and my friends watched this film the other night, literally going 'this is the bit where....happens". My friend is the only one who borrows it at the local video store and is considering buying it!

I can remember this movie from when i was a kid. When it was on tv recently i made my 5 year old brother watch it for the first time with me. He was a little scared, but he loved it so much!! (as do i)

>>By Tiger_Lily   (Tuesday, 2 Dec 2003 04:13)

Good movie. Used to scare me at first, then the more I watched it the more I liked it. Then again, I was just a young kid. But still a good movie.

>>By NadaBaby   (Tuesday, 2 Dec 2003 14:21)

Hey guyz. Great movie. Great is the understatement. I don't know what it is that's kept me watching since I was really young. It's just an all round good film. I love the bit at the end where Sarah says "every now and then in my life... I need you... all of you"... It's like we all need to let the inner (maybe) child out sometimes. Anyway bye for now

This movie is my favourite ever and probably always will be. There's always something in ourselves that wants to be somewhere else and this film delivers.

Jim Henson maybe no longer with us but long live his ethos!

>>By pigsticks   (Saturday, 14 Aug 2004 04:13)

This movie is the best hands down...It's in a league of its own.
I was raised with this movie and David Bowie music...he is my idol and God...without him I'd never be happy when I'm depressed....
And as a plus Jareth is totally Fine!

Yes...this is a very cool movie. I first watched it with my young children, who now have children of their own and are showing it to them. How awesome it is to watch it with my granddaughter knowing I watched it with her mother long ago. A trip in its own right. The movie has such a good message...greed, selfishness and always thinking that life isnt fair...not good rules to live by. Sara learns to apprecate her family and the real things in life that are important...a lesson for us all...as we all know, all that "stuff" we have is just that, stuff. Our friends and family are the real things in life that matter. I love this movie. I just watched it the other day , and still love it after all these years.

I love this movie. I've seen it the first time a long time ago before I started school. A few years ago I bought the soundtrack and now finally, after many many years of pain, I finally found the movie as an import DVD from a fantasy/manga store. I bought it two days ago and I've already watched it twice.

And I agree with the Jareth thing. He is hot. I don't know, if I was Sarah, I would've done what Jareth says when they're in his castle and the stairs are floating all around them "Fear me, love me, do as I say and I will be your slave."

The best movie ever.

Labyrinth has got to be one of the best movies ever made. Jim Henson is amazing. Dark Crystal. <3 But, back to Labyrinth. I love the story line. How Sarah's wish actually comes true. I wish the goblins would take my little brother away. I don't think I'd look for him though, haha. Maybe just so I could see Jareth. David Bowie is a legend, one of my idols, and I just love this movie. Plus the music is amazing because it comes from David Bowie, of course.

I agree. The puppets own, David Bowie owns, the eighties soundtrack owns, the whole film just owns.
My six-year-old cousin got Labyrinth for her last birthday, and she loves it. Its appeal lives on into the age of CGI.
