A Beautiful Mind

I finally saw the movie. It was not what I had expected, but it was very good. It was humorous and terrifying at various times. It got me afraid of schizophrenia and D.I.D. It WAS beautiful that he learned not to pay attention to his hallucinations. It was so scary when he nearly drowned the baby because Charles was supposedly watching over him, and so scary when he saw the guy running through the woods! I know nothing about math, and I won't say anything about how it was incorporated in the movie. I liked the girl's analogy of love and the universe though. :) It's just too bad, they could have used an actual old man instead of Crowe in make-up, because it did not look good. :S

it is a nice film but not a very accurate portrayal of Nash's life. I think it tries to turn him into a romantic figure. The real Nash had a string of homosexual affairs behind his wife back as I remeber and ran away to Europe to renounce his American citizenship and to be declaired refugee status.
Also he didn't recover from his mental illness by taking his medication he did it without it. They could not show this they decided because schizophrenics worldwide would also stop taking their medication en mass and probably start killing people like they do.
