Zulu

Have been watching the miniseries. It's fascinating, but I am a bit confused on some points. I'd like to read the book, if there was one. Did this originate as a book? If so -- please indicate title and author. Thanks.

Seen this movie many times & it gets better each time. It was a different movie in 1964 and now seems even more remarkable. There are a few racist remarks made, but each one is quickly corrected by another character in the movie. These corrections promoted respect for the Zulu warriors and soon you agreed. In addition to seeing incredible bravery on both sides, the end of the battle left you with new thoughts as to which side was the more 'civilized.'

Este filme é sensacional, acredito que ele mostra que as cores não significa nada quando falamos sobre a raça humana: somos todos iguais. No fundo, nós temos as mesmas crenças, medos, fraquezas e forças.

This is a sensational film. I believe it shows that there aren't differencies between the colors when we talk about the human being: we are the same. Deep inside, we have the same faith, fear, weakness and strengh.

this is based on a true event and i resent that people think this is amade up film. the welsh are overlookeked whe it comes to everything and i think they should be recogbnised. the welsh play a special part in british hisoty and they should be remembered.

Hi

This film is based on an actual incident, not a book. By the end of the battle, 11 Victoria crosses had been won (The victoria cross is the highest medal awarded to British military and is highly prized by collectors). To win 11 in one battle has never been done before or since.

If you like this movie, you should also see Zulu Dawn, A later release which shows the battle between the A british Column and the Zulus which took place that same morning. It is another stunning movie
