I listened to gilbert grape in english at Bremer s.h.s in brisbane QLD Aus anyways its a really cool movie and i would suggest it for anyone that thinks theirs top stuff and people that tease other people.

i thought this movie was really cool... his mum being SO overweight is scary but it was a good film anyway. i'm not one to judge, i'm a little cuddly as well :) :)

great film! acting was fantastic! Brought up some serious issues and great use of symbolism. Just a message to the sad people criticizing the film i can understand why you didn't enjoy the film, i mean it is understandable that people of such low intellect would find it confuseing. but don't worry keep working on those four letter words and you'll go real far in life! **note the sarcasm**

Whats eating Gilbert Grape its a great movie! Leonardo DiCaprio and Johnny Depp plays excellent in the movie. I think that Leo played best there. Beacuse was super great as Arnie! See it!

I loved this movie and was quite shocked by some of the comments on here about it. It really touched the heart, as the family deals with so many issues from single motherhood and it's trials and depressions to special needs of one of its members that the others don't quite understand. Gilbert and Arnie's mother is a brave woman,but a clinically depressed woman. I think what she did for the love of Arnie we should all learn from.

I Loved this movie!! It was so sad! How dare you people sit there and bad mouth it!! The woman couldnt help being over weight, the boy couldnt help being mentally ill, thats the beauty of the movie! All these people, who were totally different, still found a way to be a close loving family. It was so sad when the mother died, and when everyone made fun of her, and same with arnie. I am not a very big fan of Lep Decaprio, but I must admit he was great in this. And as always, a breath taking performance by the extreamly talented Mr. Depp.
