the first two songs in the movie is
"Talula (BT's Tornado Mix)"
by Tori Amos

the second one is
"motherless child" by eric clapton

i think its the second one you're referring to.

Its funny how, not one person here knows what jason is talking about. He's talking about the RIFT "LOUD GUITAR" music coming from the loud speaker in the van. NOT the Eric clapton slow song....I've downloaded all of the music from that movie with the exception of that song which im still at a loss. Its I believe right from the 60's and almost sounds like something either Deep Purple would do or a band similar. DOES ANYBODY KNOW who does the song ???

81trans-am@rogers.com if you have the answer. TOO BAD MOVIE STUDIO's are still being lame......

Soundtracks for Twister (1996) <<<<<This is suposed to be a link to The Internet Movie Data Base (IMDB.Com), a great source for all that information you guys are looking for. If the band is in fact deep purple then the song would be "Child in Time".

Hi Jason and Viper999,

I know this is more then a few months late, but if you were still wondering what the name of the song Dusty plays when they're chasing the first tornado, it is absolutely "Child in Time" by Deep Purple. A great song. The gutar rift is toward the end of the song and it rocks!! It took me a while to figure this out as well too, I dunno why it and the Eric Clapton song never made the soundtrack. Credit to Spassmania for finding it first, and viper999 for sugesting Deep Purple.
