I've accepted Cedric Diggory as a possible Edward (SOMETIMES...), but I'm truly dreading this film because I do not like the other actors they've cast. For instance: Sharkboy as Jacob? Eva/Rebecca from grey's anatomy as Esme? A girl who has very features in common with the description of Bella? I mean come on!

Opinions people?

I don't believe there is a better choice than Robert Pattinson to play Edward... but as for the rest of the cullens, I am very dissapointed. That girl casted as Alice isn't half as cute as she is supposedly in the book... and Carslile is just plain scary looking. But the biggest dissapointment would be the choice for Victoria. She looks like an ordinary boring person. She's supposed to have flaming red hair, not strawberry blonde. She just looks way too nice. But, despite the bad actors, I still think the movie looks amazing.

This movie sucked balls.
the dialogue sucked.
the acting sucked.
edward was creepy.
absolutely terrible.
i was actually embarrassed for everyone involved with this movie.. yeah, it's that bad.

I absolutely Loved all of the books, i just couldn't put them down...
The movie was good, but there were some bad parts...
I pictured Edward being a little bit more smooth when talking to Bella. But Robert did a good job.
Alice wasn't as pretty a perfect as I imagined. But Ashley did a good job.
Victoria's hair should have been mor red...
It went through everything too quickly and it didn't get the audience enough time to grasp everything. And it missed A LOT of stuff.
But the movie was really good and I can't wait for New Moon to come out.

i thought the film was great but im a sucker for a love story.. it did miss alot of details out though , but i guess they could'nt put it all in.. i liked edward alot ;)

I liked the books a nice quick read, but the movies looks so bad and cheesy I can't even bring myself to go to it. I think the whole cast is off they didn't cast any one correctly, and from the few clips I've seen the acting looks on par with a soap opra.

and not only is the movie bad but then you have the whole fan base of tween girls that have never read a real vampire book "who are all OMG Edward" while wearing they're forks washington t-shirts. which i think wold make going to the movie 10 times worse.

I was bored for the most part of the movie.

The film was so bad almost everything was wrong! I thought Edward and Bella were good to be honest and i totally agree carlise is very scary looking...they are all meant to be amazing looking but they were all a bunch of plain janes who looked too old to play the parts! Hope the next one is better

LOL!
I come on the hells of some pretty angry comments huh?
OK, I think the movie was all right. Maybe a bit mediocre. Definetly not what the airbrushed advertisments and the screaming fans made it out to be. But not horrible.
If you look at the other movies the director has done, u will realize that that it was a bit silly of us to think this one might be different. And w/ Weitz directing New Moon, hopefully the graphics and eyecandy will pick up. I for one, am rooting for Johnny Depp as one of the Volturi.....

I think what they should do is scrap the crap they put out this time and start over, fire everyone and just redo it, just pretend the other one never happened, like they did with that hulk movie a few years ago.

Edward seem to be in pain all the time that s the only emotion he puts off in the movie i dread the love scene he will have to play in the future movies. What can i say about Bella emotion wise she carries but otherwise she is just pale. Jasper looks freaky and Esme is not beautiful, i am in love with Emmet

i love the books, and i loved the film. although admittadly the film was no where near as good as the book!

'solan' you said edward seemed to be in pain the whole time in the movie.. i think if you had payed close attention to the books you would have seen that hes in pain practically the whole time anyway. hes tryin not to kill the person he desperately wants to kill, but is in love with. how could tht not be painful? and those thoughts never leave him. that urge stays with him the whole time.. so of course hes gunna look like hes in pain!!

as for alice.. oh my god. i couldnt be happier with alice in the film :-O
i think she was amazing in it. she looks like a wee pixie, just like shes described in the book. shes kinda grungy looking too which was perfect!
personally, i felt like rosalie was the true dissappointment!!! shes described to be the most beautiful creature to ever walk the earth.. even more beautiful than edward.. and yeah she was gorgeous.. but ive seen regular girls looking even better!

as for the film itself.. i think they did a great job fitting everything in. they didnt miss out any key scenes i dont think. everything tht was needed to tell the story in the film was there, and obviously they couldnt show every single scene or it would run on for too long. but all the main parts were captured.
and i think the simplicity of bella was brilliant. kristen is just as awkward as bella is.. and i think it couldnt have been casted any better.

overall i love the books, i loved the film, i cant wait for new moon and robert pattinson is the most gorgeous guy ever! aha

The hype generated prior to Twilight's release had me predisposed to not liking this film, based on books I never read or even knew existed.

To my pleasant and unexpected surprise, I found the movie entertaining and it held my interest from beginning to end.

It's often said "the movie wasn't as good as the book" and this may be true for Twilight. I'm glad I didn't read the book first. :-)

same thing happened to me 'seether' i didnt want to like it cause so many others did, but when i watched it i fell in love with it instantly.. now after reading all four books im totally and utterly hooked. i do think that the first film was great and did the book as much justice as it possibly could have! and cant wait for the release of new moon in the cinemas. from what ive seen of the trailers, its gunna do the second book justice as well. however, even though the movie did good, the book is better, and to get the complete twilight experience you should deffinitely read the books.. they just get better and better :) so go treat yourself!
