How such a story can be wasted by miscasting ! Who needs Brad Pitt ? The whole movie seems about him. Even the Trojan horse is put in like some small detail.

Booooooooo! I am so disgruntled by the lack of quality of this film, that I am going to carry out a "watching-Troy-boycott". Yes, now everyone else in the world will have to pay attention if I am not going to watch it! hahaha!!

Take that everyone in Hollywood!

Haha, yes....... ha...

Um..what are you talking about? Lack or quality?!?!?! I've seen it 6 times, and im amazed by all of the work that must have been put in to it. Think of all of the props...all of the extras standing in the scorching sun...i think this movie is absolutely brilliant..and i love it!

It was simply soooo lame! The actors were useless, they would have been better off if they just sat there and read their lines to the camera - with their hair blowing in the wind!! Cant forget that now!?!?!?! ................. ¬_____¬

Loads of other films have had much more detail and effort; Lord of the Rings had lots of extras standing in the rain at night and much more sophisticated and detailed props. But like loads of other films, most of it was computerised - and so I can't really say that thats a lot of work being put into the film :P

Its awesome! So many hot actors as well. Garrett Hedlund ( Patroclus ), Brad Pitt ( Achilles ), Eric Bana ( Hector ) and Orlando Bloom ( paris )!

First of all.. to the Brad Pitt bashers.. excuse me, but this IS a film which means nothing less than HOLLYWOOD.. and I'm wondering in what film that Brad Pitt starred in was he horrible at? Seven? No. 12 Monkeys? No. IWTV? No.. and I'll just stop. I mean, I'm sorry, but he is a brillant actor and lets not forget Snatch! You cannot deny that he was not perfect nor sexy enough for this part.. so BAH! I think he is great. I'm sorry.. but if I am to fill my head with useless Hollywood reenactment.. it might as well star Brad Pitt! I agree though, that helen was not very pretty and as for being blonde.. in the times of the Greeks, only whores had blonde hair, bleached just so to state that they were infact.. whores...

I'm not sure, but in most of the books I've read, Helen was a blonde...

Try to forget everything you ever read or saw about Troy, this is Hollywood, of course it's going to mess it up. Just enjoy it as a film.
I never really rated Brad Pitt before this, but he did a good job of the arrogant Achilles, the man who can't die so doesn't really know how to enjoy life.
Eric Bana, wow, so sexy in that leather kilt, and check those pecs! Good actor too.
Sean Bean, ditto the kilt and the acting.
Brian Cox, playing the role he's best at, overblown megalomaniac.
Peter O'Toole, as good as always.
Orlando Bloom, wet as the fake blood used in gallons on this movie.
Diane Kruger, token blonde and surplus to the action.

Loved the costumes and sets, great fight scenes, good actors.
Alexander had all this, but Oliver Stone flushed it (see my review on discussions page)

Great Movie and Scenes, but unfortunaly it had just a bit to do with what we have learned by reading Omer... And Ulisses... His role in the war was sooooooo................................ small......???? He just ivented the Horse???? Oh, come on!
