A kid's movie, made for kids and a lot of fun. There will never be a better Long John Silver than Robert Newton, and no one will ever be a better Jim Hawkins than Bobby Driscoll.
The New York Times said it best, Robert Newton made the movie fun, and Bobby Driscoll is Jim Hawkins.
