This movie is often cited as one of the greatest movies of all time.
It is Kurosawa's retelling of Shakespeare's Macbeth, albeit adapted to a Japanese setting.
While modern audiences might find parts of the film very slow moving (and the special effects hokey) is remains strangely compelling.
Kurosawa is a great film maker and this is a good example of his earlier works
