great movie. 13 year olds are disturbing. This movie proves it. I can't believe no one else has commented on it!

This movie was shocking and insightful in a captivating way. The transformation of the girl's life after being exposed to such a wild ride of sex, drugs and crime was moving. The facade of fun is soon destroyed by the true reality of pain and suffering, which aptly reflects the movie's line "Its happening so fast". The graphic scenes of the girls doing drugs, dressing appaulingly and cutting theirselves make the film see the whole lot more serious and bring the audience's mind right down to a grassroot's level - not only is it unbelievable to watch but makes us think twice about the world around us.

But unlike Trainspotting, this film shows us the problematic task the parents are faced with in trying to understand and help their children from a life they don't belong to. The ending scene with the mother and daughter having difficulty in embracing before sleeping side-by-side on the bed was extremely powerful in portraying the very essence of a mother's touch which the girl had been missing the whole time. The scream in the playground to finish off the film summarized everything that is wrong and now so hard to fix.
