The Stepford Wives

Ira Levin originally wrote this story as a horror novel but latest remake of the movie is being done as a dark comedy. What do think of the treatment?

i read the book, saw the old movie....... now i want to see the new movie

the only thing i appreciated about the old movie was the scene when bobby goes haywire....... that was so good... but it wasnt in the original.

yeah i kind of liked the dark trippy humor of the new stepford wives but i reckon i would've also like to have seen a horror version....but then maybe they were right for avoiding the horror...there's sso much of it at the moment and it probably wouldnt have worked as well as a horror for modern audiences

hm, Kidman's role was not as crucial in this movie. i think bette midler and glen close pretty much took the stand. i even experienced part of the world premiere live and even tho pple clapped loudly for Kidman, the main role was not hers!!! but anywayzz, originals are ALWAYS better, especialli original Horror flicks, unlike today's jumbled cliche stoopid "horror" movies which are only based on the psychological flaws of the mind....as if! well, anywys, i hav to stick to the topic, overall the movie was okay!

luv,
natalie ~~~
