The Rock

the rock was an amazing military action movie. It kept me on the edge od the seat the whole time with sweat running down my face.the movie is abou a legenday soldier, Brigadier Genereal Francis X Hummel, who fought in every conflict the US was in from Vietnam to desert storm. He was a US marine. He had won many medals including the congressional medal of honor. Now he is pissed off because many of his Men were killed fighting for their country and they were not honored. These sickening people chose to forget about them. So withe the help of his fellow comrades, he decides to take 81 civilians hostage in an island cslled alcatraz, somewhere in sam fransico, and threatens to kill the and launch 15 missile s armed with VX5 poisen gas at the city if $100 milion dollars isnt transferred to the families of those who had died in combat. Now usually in a situation like this, it would be easier if the white house just sends the money to hummel and no one gets hurt. But since there are a bunch of assholes in the white house, they try to challenge this dangerous threat. Using the help of John Patrick Mason, who was a rpsioner of alcatraz and knows the facility very well because he was the only person who escaped it, and Stanley Goodspeed, a Chemical Weapons agent in the FBI, being used to try and disarm the bomb, the white house makes their plan. They send an Elite team of US navy SEALS, possibly the most elite special ops team in the world, along with Mason And Goodspeed. They drop them near the island and they meake their way in. Now usually a team of Navy SEALS can easily take out Some US marines, but ironicaly, Things turn out the oppsoite and Hummel's men annihilate the SEals with only Mason And Goodspeed left. Will a 60 year-old convitct and a lab rad be able to accomplish the impossible. Fin d out and go see the movie.

in the synopsis you seem not to mention that Mason (the convict) is also a former member of Her Majestys British SAS which has more experience than the Navy Seals (formed in 1962), where the SAS were formed during the Second World War in 1942

oh and btw, yeah, just giving a terrorist money is "easier", except for the fact that it sets a national precendet, indicating to potential terrorists that hostage-taking is an effective and profitable way to express a political objective. those ass-holes keep your ass form getting shot every time you get on a bus or see a movie. "usually, in a situation like this" the government would absolutely NOT support terrorists who strike on home soil. get your domestic policy straighht partick.

When Mason is entering Alcatraz he has to jump through wheels and flames.
What are those wheels and where do the flames come from ?

hollywood. and yeah patrick, your not very sure of what your talking about because the seals are good, but they were at a tactical disadventagous position with a BRILLIANT ENEMY LEADER giving the order to kill them. and secondly, if the us was sending in teams of people to do bad things in other countries, with every country does, then thye wouldnt fricking broadcast it to the world, they would keep it on the lowdown, so keep all of america safe. if you were a marine and you died on a mission that wasnt very legal in the eyes of the rest of the world (to keep the us safe) would you want the whole world to know, so everyone would starting getting more pissed at the US, or would you rather your death be kept quiet so your family can live in peace, albeit without you? i love my family, but id rather they be alive and poor than rich and captive or dead

and a few words about sean connery. he is the best actor ever
i love him because he is so cool
i firmly believe he could produce the worlds best selling movie, or at least a block buster, if it was just 7 and a half hours of him, eating grapes in a bikini.

i thought the rock was a terrible movie. it degraded the Us military showing that someone of great honor would put people's lives in danger. no soldier serving in theUs military would ever do something like that. how do i know, cause practically my whole family is in the military and i plan to go into spec ops too. if there really are soldiers like that in the military then ill never join the Us military. instead ill just go to SAS or something.the rock takes away the honor in soldiers.

pleasure overload rockets aimed at the U.S rockets aimed at the U.S to bad it couldnt happen in real life though

To answer marine a U.S soldier would indeed do something like that they lets see you had the U.S soldier who betrayed the government and lived in one of the communist states for a while i forget which one the abuse of prisoners the rape of women need i go on
