The Patriot

I think this movie is the best movie i have ever seen. I have seen this movie quite a few times. I think this movie is the best movie Mel Gibson has ever played in. It looks like there is a very good cast in this movie. I like this movie because it has some actors that I regonize and because it is filled with action.

Definitely one of Gibson's best films. You're right about the cast Amanda, I think everyone fit their role perfectly and played it very well. Even the younger boys and the angelic little blond girl. Doesn't it just make you want to bawl when she runs to him and cries out his name? It reminds me of the scene where Molly speaks for the first time in Corina, Corina. (Whoopi Goldberg and Ray Liota.....great film) Anyway, this is a really good movie.

I agree, Kitten. When Susan cries for him, it just tears me apart! It's the best movie about The Revolutionary War and about life during those times. Everyone played their part perfectly. No one could have replaced anyone, especially Mel Gibson. He has a knack for doing war movies, and very good ones at that! I'm writting on the 4th of July, and I know they are going to play it on TV tonight. I can't wait! I haven't seen it in a long time, but I can still remember it very well! Have you ever read the book The Patriot? It's VERY good! If you liked the movie, you'll love the book!

This is one of the finest films I have ever seen. From the cinematography to costumes to the incredible acting, "The Patriot" deserved an Oscar. This is certainly one of Mel Gibson's best films and I wonder if Heath Ledger will ever star in anything comparable. This film makes me proud to be an American.

I liked this movie even with all its flaws. The biggest crime I think Mel committed in this movie was that only ONE of the children aged. After 6 or so years of war the kids were still the same age! Was he trying to save a few dollars by not hiring a few more actors?
