The Meaning Of Life

Forum

The Meaning of Life is my second favourite Monty Python film. It makes a good double feature with Life of Brian. My favourite scene is the one where death comes to claim the obnoxious dinner guests who died after eating some bad food.

I love this film, my favourite scene is with the british officers being attacked by the zulu's and everyones dying around them and they're just stroling around casualy. Then john clese walks into the tent and has a look at Eric Idle's "mosquito bite". Then the docter comes in and says
"oh yes this is just a virus your leg should be fine in a few weeks"
"oh right, so it will just grow back will it"
"erm let me be frank with you, this isn't a virus"
"It isn't?"
"No you see a virus is what we doctors call very very very small, your afliction was certainly not caused by a virus it was more like caused by........a tiger"

then every body starts saying

"A TIGER! IN AFRICA?"
"well it doesn't sound very likely does it?"
"no, it probobaly escaped from the zoo"

Then after theyve found the two men in a tiger outfit the zulu chap zips his skin off an it goes to "the middle of the film"

Then the woman introduces the features film, "find the fish"
I love that part, "were did the fishy gooooooo"
"a fish a fish a fishy ooooooooooh"

Just thinking about that scene makes me queasy. Vomit humour isn't my thing, but I like Eric Idle as the waiter who leads us on that long journey and then starts shouting obscenities. "Every sperm is sacred" is funny too.

hey Mikey_C

yes, well
vomit humour is something that i generally abhor
but
Mr. Creosote
is
PROJECTILE vomit humour
which as we know
is far more
refined & tasteful

I guess I'll have to go to finishing school Helmet. I'm not refined enough for projectile vomit humour. :-)
