yeah it's another remake. it wasn't that scary as everybody said it would be.

i dont know i thought it wasnt bad in the scary department maybe it just hit me at a good time, its just another film that you would take your girlfriend or date to so she curls up next to you and hides her face in your sholder, the story itself was empty and lacking any real structure. never going to be a classic

Dont bother. The original "Ju On", a japanese effort that failed miserably to scare and a pathetic sequel which was nothing to write home about either. Hence i wonder why anyone would bother taking this sort of crap to Hollywood. I did learn to re-create the 'scary' ticking noise using my watch...

Oh My God this movie freaked the shit out of me! I pride myself on laughing at horrors, of all my friends im the one who didnt find the ring scarey at all but this movie unsettled me big time! Yea the acting wasn't good and there was practically no story line but that freaky kid and his mother really did scare me! I think it was the clicking noise and the suspense that caught me off guard? I was reading on another discussion, that the scene where Sarah Michelle Gellar goes into the room to see what the knocking noise is from had to be cut out because it was the father hanging from the ceiling with his leg stretched and nearly coming out of his socket, his eyes gouged out and his face mutilated, and his arms replaced with legs from a chair, the walls are covered with blood and the little boy is playing with the body! UUUUURRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!! this movie, was disgusting already, i dont think i could've handled the movie if that scene had been kept in!

This was fucking shit, i sat and laughed at this, the story was stopid the dude that was going out with sara michelle gellar couldnt act for shit, and nothing scared me at all about this film, thank god i have an interest in old school horrors like sleep away camp, because if i didnt i would think horror sucked, and as for american remakes, has there ever been a good 1? dawn of the dead sucked, The Ring sucked, but instead of them geting better by time they release this, if your a fan of comedy go to see this cause you just end up laughing at how you spent your money its that ridiculous.

Films like the grudge and the ring dont normally freak me out. But i have to say that this film scared me stupid. its just really freaky that someone can make tyhat noise at that level for som long. apart from that i thought that it was just a cheap rip off from the ring. like the part with the tv screen.

Usually I get really scared when I watch a horror movie but this one I didnt get scared at all.. The ring I was just terrified but there was no point or storyline to the grudge.

i found it scary....i guess it's just when at with whom you're watching it that makes it scary or not. i was alone, it was night, and, it really scared me! i mean really! then i've watched it with my best friend, and she was screaming non stop, and it managed to scare me again! otherwise, it isn't something special.

This discussion kind of depicts what I experience about this movie: Some people say it's boring, they had a hard time getting the 90 minutes up, and some couldn't sleep for two weeks. There are really few that think it was just medicore.
I must confess that I liked it and I was scared, however there were some weak parts in it.
