Why did Michael drive alone to Hyman Roth's house?

The scene where Michael drives to Hyman Roth's house was in the second Godfather. In any case, he drove alone because he couldn't trust anyone after the hit at his house in Reno. He wanted to be incognito.

The guy who got it in the boat was Fredo, Michael's older brother. This was in retaliation for betraying the family to Hyman Roth and Johnny Ola.

Hey- I watched part 1 on dvd today and noticed something peculiar. During the funeral scene, in which Michael studies all the Dons as they approach his father's casket, there's a ghost image of someone's face superimposed onscreen. It's a reflection, and not very subtle one , either. I suspect its the face of the person responsible for the film-to-video transfer of the movie. Looks like there might be more than one face too. Anyone else noticed this?

yes it was don fannuci, and the young vito played by robert de niro killed him

best part for me is when michael goes to the toilet and comes back and shoots the dirty cop and the other guy, whats his name? and calmly walks out of the restaurant
