well i really should have said ............. 1970's new york yessiree back in da nitty-gritty *big apple* era in those glorious days when Times Square was an adult theatre oasis populated by the downbeats' & deadbeats' (as opposed to the Times Square of today with it's MTV studio & Disney Store) yeah the new york streets of The French Connection REEK of corruption & decay......... & me LIKEE it that way
