Starshiptroopers is the best action movie I have ever seen.
All you people who like explosions, action, and aliens. Well this the movie should see. Because those troopers can really kick ass!

Hi again i dont think ther will ever be another movie damn shame a bit like judge dredd the movie as far as starshipp troopers goes i am in the prosses of bying all the digital comic dvds online its better than nothing i suppose.

I just heard that the filming for Starship Troopers 2 is slated to begin shooting in June. Kelly clarkson will be in it.

This movie has sub-par acting, a below average plot, and a budget that is through the roof, which makes it a really big budget B-movie...

did anyone notice the movie hints that humans are the truly dangerous and malignant agents in the universe? We went to their galaxy and invaded them. We got tattoos that said "kill everything."

What I'm saying is, behind all the cliche actions and explosions there is some social commentary going on.

Ummmm, not true. They sent the meteor in response to our colinization of their space. Watch it with the directors commentary. VerHoven makes it clear that this was intended as political satire/commentary.

Colonization of their space... but not invasion. We didn't attack them until they attacked us.

As far as political satire/commentary, I thought the best use of that was the 50's style media coverage and news programming. I loved where the bug "ate" the reporter on-camera, then got the cameraman because he kept rolling instead of running. And that's a very common phenomenon with camera people. They quite often focus on what they see in through the lens and don't think about it's affect on them. Having been a military photographer I understand that quite well. Very disassociative.

Does anyone know that this movie is based on the novel of the same name by Robert A. Heinlein? You should be able to find it at your local library. Read it and find out why you will have to wait for the remake to see a really good film. Hint: Battle Armour
