There was something on Sunday and Monday this week that reminded me of "Sleepers". It was called "Leaving Liverpool" and is part of the Taking Care season which is on the Beeb. Although not the same theme, there were aspects of them both that were similar: abuse, physical, sexual and mental. I was in tears through "Sleepers" and "Leaving Liverpool". I've read the books appertaining to both . You're right there are sick people in this world who need to be made to answer.
I must say the actors were brilliant, so convincing. Kevin Bacon was excellent as a sadistic brutal warder in charge of wayward boys, and Robert de Niro , what can one say! Even Brad Pitt was at his best.

this movie will allways be one of my favorites, it showed me alot besides the sick bastards that live in this world. it made me realise that you can only see freindship like this in movies. i watch too much t.v and it took me a long time to realise that on t.v everything is taken to the extreme. when people hate, love, when people are rich, poor when people are beautiful or ugly and when people have freinds or are all by themselves. i just realise that i'm expecting too much of life, i want it to be just like on t.v . i don't think freinds like on this movie exists
