hi,
man i thought this movie was cool. It was scary and suspensful. the girl they cast to be the she creature was very good. she brought out the part well.
the movie also got me interested in the whole siren thing. i have researched alot on mermaids and the whole siren thing. there are many written acounts of sailors who have witnessed the sound of mermaids(she creatures)

I saw this movie on cable late last night. I found it surprisingly good. Some plot poits were not explained. Lillies character was barren like the late wfie of the old captain. They both became pregnant. Was this some influence from the Merrow? Did she implant something in them? Was it simply coincidence? If so that might be an elegant solution to where more memraids come from.

I loved this film. I had hoped it was based on a novel. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem so. In reply to someone's post-- Of course the mermaid impregnated the women.
