i honestly love this movie. it's my favorite bergman next to the silence. . .

that said.

the music annoys me.

i know it's typical of films of the time. . .but i still can't stand it. it's silly and strangely upbeat.

i gripe alot.

I love that song by Jof and Mia that they sing as a duet after their other troupe member Skat exits the music stage and begins his flirtation with Lisa, the blacksmith's wife, before the flaggellants arrive.
