Well , Many people doesn't like this film .......I think they don't understand it......you have to think deeply about it to understand it.....the major role is for that young detective.....and all others charachter are attributes of this detective.......i mean all of those persons (for instance that one that eats alot) all of them, are attributes of the detective that finally goes to Jail (Hell)........This film is one of the best film I ve ever seen..........

I feel like I have to disagree with Andishe va Tafakor. I don't think that the movie revolved around the detective in the same sense that he/she believes. For instance, the dective (Brad Pitt) wasn't gluttonous at all, and he deffinitely didn't have sloth.

I think that this movie struck me harder than any I've seen in a long time.. you hear stories on the news about horrible tortures and killings.. but this movie took it to the wall we call sanity, and smashed it down. The humor in the movie was wonderful, plenty of ironic and sarcastic lines to break up the constant sense of darkness and insanity that enveloped this crime-ridden city.

After every murder I tried to convince myself it could not possibly get any worse. Little did I know this movie had some of the most mentally disturbing scenes in any movie in existance.. it's not for the faint of heart or stomach.

Movie stats: (Out of 5)
GORE: 5
NUDITY: 2 (Brief view of a penis)
SEX: 4 (We don't see it, but we hear a graphic and disturbing retelling of it)
LANGUAGE: 4

OVERALL: 4 - Excellent movie.

The review I see at the very bottom contains offensive slang and curses aimed at the other reviewers. It is in Turkish language. I strongly suggest that you remove the message from your web site.

True, he had wrath which was the last sin remaining at the end of the movie

Seven is an excellren movie. The end is great, as it dosent tell you too much, but just enough for you to know the horror that lies inside that box. The only flaw in the movie was that chase scene in the apartment, because the camera is hust too wobbly.

I believe the cinematography was use to great effect in the film. Most crime scenes were photographed in dark, somber tones suggesting the darker side of human nature and the deeds as a result . The "wobbly" effect in the chase scene demonstrated the manic effect one goes through when confronted with extreme violence, concern for personal safety, and a comittment to a sense of duty (police work) when confronting the violent element. Adrenalin often has the same "wobbly" effect which precludes all certainty and clarity of vision.

my fav part was the last 20 minutes or so. When you finally realized how the last two sins were played out. Great movie and I think Brad Pitt istotally hot but I heard that the only way that he would do the movie was if he could change the last twenty minutes so that Gweneth Paltrow's character died. I guess he was still hurt over the breakup..oh well, still a gr8 movie!
