I loved this movie, and I expect it to get an Oscar nod at the very least. I figured I'd like it quite a bit, just because I'm a sucker for both movies *and* equine; however, within the film is a very human story. Seabisquit's is that of every immigrant's who comes to America to follow his dream and it took place during the Great Depression, when Americans desperately needed underdog heroes.

I've allus loved the Underdawg, so Seabisquit was especially fun for me, especially the racing shots. In a perfect world, I would have been much shorter and had much more access to big, high-strung horses during me silly youth when I knew not better than to fling meownself onto the back of any ole nag I could find.

Guess I'm babbling, so I'll be off~~~

I loved it, too. it is very academic, but everything was perfect : the photography, the story, the acting. I am sorry it did not get at least one Oscar.

When I saw Seabiscuit it brought back the wonderful memories of the original shown decades ago.
