this movie is absolutely disgusting but brilliant!

>>By Too Smart for a nickname   (Tuesday, 9 Nov 2004 16:10)

As much as I love Cary Elwes I have to say that this movie sucked. It failed to make any sense! For one, why didn't Zep just go to the fucking police or atleast to a hospital even? Secondly, what was the point of Danny Glover's idiot cop character? And lastly, hate to spoil the movie BUT, how could the killer seriously lie still on the ground for that fucking long?! A further more, the killer himself was basically an irrlevant character throughout the movie that no anti-hero feelings or ANYTHING was established for him. It was like.. oh, he's the killer? So what? Who the fuck is he? Plus the ending was crap. I hate movie that have no conclusive ending!

>>By ~*Sisaro*~   (Tuesday, 9 Nov 2004 22:26)

Firstly, the reason the killer could lie on the floor that long: Remember when there was the case of the girl with the head brace put on her and who had to get the key from the dead guys stomach? Well remember how the killer had given that guy drugs to make him look dead for hours then he woke up and the girl had to kill him! well obviously he took those drugs too! Then when the time was right he woke up and locked the guy in the bathroom!
Secondly, the reason Zep didnt go to the police, whats the point? That bumbling Danny Glover charachter, do you think he could save anyone?
The point of Danny Glover's charachter was that he was the obsessed cop trying desperately to catch the killer and becoming obsessed with him in the mean time, but on a personal note i think Danny glover's charachter was someone you wanted to see get killed! like you know when his thraot was slit and he survived and you were like Dammit why won't he die!
And finally to get back to the killer, he was treminally ill and was so bitter and angry that he decided to kill everyone who didnt appreciate their life as much as he did? look it's a hollywood horror movie they never really make much sense!

Hmm, okay... the drugging of himself makes sense. And I suppose that if Zep had gone to the police, there wouldn't have been a movie. I understand all of this, but still feel like is was crap. The idea was brilliant, it just wasn't played out very good. Weak characters, weak plots, awesome gore... OH! And did you notice when Cary shot Adam it was in the STOMACHE?! Bah!

Se7en was much better.

>>By ~*Sisaro*~   (Thursday, 11 Nov 2004 16:52)

I Think this movie was fucking excellent, the story was outstanding, i think if you get into the movie it doesent matter if it makes sense or not, but it did to me, There was never a dull or boring moment!! I think this is the best horror movie in like 2 years, I will definatley be buying this when it comes out, 10 outa 10 in my books, great movie!!

>>By cruel_portrait   (Thursday, 11 Nov 2004 23:55)

I havent seen it, But in my newpaper it got 0 stars out of 5 and said it was absolutely horrible.

>>By Jane   (Sunday, 14 Nov 2004 20:10)

bad acting but fun movie in all better then the grudge thats for sure

>>By Billy Pilgrim   (Sunday, 21 Nov 2004 06:37)

this film was ok i guess but i just dont get it, why would you wanna do that its pointless, to lay there and listen to someone douing something like that. the part where he cut his own foot off was cool

>>By trigger   (Wednesday, 8 Dec 2004 16:13)

just a quick one about the point of the killer drugging himself, how the hell would he of been able to send the electric current down the chain to check that the guy is dead because if you remember he is the only one with the switch but if he was drugged he wunta been able to move and oush the button

>>By trigger   (Tuesday, 4 Jan 2005 11:07)

~*Sisaro*~ i disagree...i think this film made good sense in the end. as you watch it there are so many red herrings, its meant to get you thinking about it. its got a great twist to it, and thats the whole make you think. whats the point in having a film that you just watch without having to think about whats going on? its good to have a film now and again which really gets your brain working throughout the whole thing. if you pay attention all the way through, it does start making sense.
as for the killer being in the middle of the room appearing dead, he had some kind of mask on which made it look like half his head was blown to pieces,(you see him remove it when he gets up) if i saw a guy who i thought was missing half his head, i wouldnt be poking around to see if he was take it that he was dead. and they were chained up so they were unable to to and poke around even if they wanted to.
its a great film, i bought it the day it come out. you just have to pay full attention to it if you really want it to make that much sense. watching it a again might help it make more sense, you might pick up on more things you may have missed last time. :oP

why didn't the two guys try to get the gun from the "dead: guy?? they could have used the bullet to shoot off the lock on one of his ankles....he got hold of the tape machine..daaaaa...i'll just leave the gun there and not even try to get it....weak point ....

>>By coca   (Friday, 4 Mar 2005 18:02)

maybe the gun would have been too heavy to pull with his he did with the tape recorder. i suppose if you read between the lines there can be alot of questions. but i still think its a brilliant film. im not one for tv or random films on the movie channels, so i was surprised this one actually got me thinking about it. i prefer music any day! lol

>>By molkos_lover   (Saturday, 5 Mar 2005 16:11)

he got the tape with a wire type thing...i could be wrong but it wasn't the shirt that he got the tape recorder with....anyway, my point is that they didn't even try to get the gun...wouldn't you have tried that..i would have....

>>By coca   (Saturday, 5 Mar 2005 17:33)

maybe...but the real reason they didnt get the coz that wasnt in the script!!!! ;o)

>>By molkos_lover   (Saturday, 5 Mar 2005 20:09)

really!!!!!!!!!!..thanks for the insight..thats one of the reasons this made the movie a bit weak...

>>By coca   (Saturday, 5 Mar 2005 21:13)

lol nice to see a fan of sarcasm ;o)

>>By molkos_lover   (Sunday, 6 Mar 2005 19:33)

this film is soooooooo surprising it is so good but i wouldnt say it was a horror

>>By sex dog123   (Monday, 7 Mar 2005 17:28)

Sisaro is right, this was a good idea done baaadlly!

If the guy on the floor had taken an opiate OD (as the cops said had been given to the poor bugger with the key in his stomach) he`d not have had the presnce of mind to zap the guys chained up. But that`s a small minded typical man way of spoiling a movie. More importantly....
When the guy (the killer) was in his hospital bed, presumably MONTHS earlier he was looking pretty unwell. But he apparrently has the strength to recover, temporarily from a f**king brain tumor to do all of the deeply unpleasant (though impressivley imaginitive) things we saw?! Sorry, no sale.
Also, two cops going to see the number one suspect in the case with NO back up, who then hide behind a curtain so they can see the guy who comes in, LEAVING THE BLOODY VICTIM TIED TO A CHAIR, as far as i`m concerned deserve what they bloody well got.

If i catch anyone else comparing this film to S7ven i`ll be attaching a reverse bear trap to their head and hiding the key in their own stomach!!!!!

There, i feel better.

>>By docjay   (Friday, 11 Mar 2005 15:05)

lmao omg docjay i have to totally agree! i loved the film, but your so right. and the mental pictures i have in my head now are sickeningly amusing. lol sorry!

>>By molkos_lover   (Sunday, 13 Mar 2005 17:23)

An A- plot with a C chill factor, a D- Script, and D acting...

>>By bagelboy13   (Monday, 14 Mar 2005 01:09)

Ok it has been a while since i seen this movie but the electric shock question, didnt the killer have that wimpy nurse guy watching the guys locked in the room, maybe im wrong but was it not him who was shocking them?

>>By Too Smart for a nickname   (Sunday, 20 Mar 2005 21:41)

you might be right there, i dont remember the killer guy having anything in his hands other than the tape player and the gun. im gonna have to watch it again now just to try and sus out what everyone is saying! lol

>>By molkos_lover   (Monday, 21 Mar 2005 10:49)

the only thing that made this movie really bad was its cruddy acting. As for the electric shock. it was Zep! And its pretty Fing obvious its him!

>>By Billy Pilgrim   (Tuesday, 22 Mar 2005 06:23)

well thats what i said! but its not such a bad movie, it was a good idea just never gonna be as good as seven.

>>By Too Smart for a nickname   (Tuesday, 22 Mar 2005 18:35)

i never saw seven, never appealed to me at the time. but for some reason this film did. and i think its a good one at that. anyway, who cares who shocked them! i dont understand why thats such a talking point! lol its such a small insignificant part of the film yet people are focussing on it so much! lol

>>By molkos_lover   (Tuesday, 22 Mar 2005 21:46)

the shock part is important, all little aspects of a movie make or break it. if it isn't believable, and one has to question it, and roll their eyes if to say "yea right"....then why put it in the movie ? in that case, why noy have a pizza delivered and we just shrug it off, assuming they had a cell and called it in, yet the viewer didn't see the call placed, we just assume it.

>>By coca   (Wednesday, 23 Mar 2005 18:58)

ok, so what is the point of the shocks? the 1st one reveals that the guy didnt die from smoking the ciggy, it revealed their plan. but what was the point of the second shock? and to be honest, none of this film is believable! i dont think any of the scenarios are. but i still enjoyed watching it :oP lol

>>By molkos_lover   (Thursday, 24 Mar 2005 10:34)

uhm, the killer guy did had something in his hands to affect shock, at least the second time, cause zeb, zep, or whatever his name was, was dead by then, and killer got up and like, pressed his hand like he has something in it, and the guy started shaking in shock, and he probably thought he's gonna die by electrocution... but then he realised he's gonna be just left to die =)

i loved the movie, but ending is disapointing, and not because of things that just don't fit well together like everyone said, i just think it would be better if the killer remained unknown, because in whole movie he meant nothing, so like.. that really dissapointed me

>>By iva212   (Thursday, 31 Mar 2005 00:00)

there were some holes in the plot or whatever, but i enjoyed it very much, it was very intriguing! it didn't get boring for a second, and, i actually loved the acting, i don't know why everyone is so disappointed in it. i could sense their fear.

>>By Eli_Molko   (Friday, 15 Apr 2005 01:12)

The ONLY thing I liked about this movie at all was Adam. he was cute. But besides that, it wasn't that good. i mean the ending ws good (in that it was totally unexpected for that guy on the floor to wind up being the real killer)Other than that, I wasn't that impressed with the movie. I'm more into movies like Seven, any Stephen king movie, 28 days later,Texas... Everyone made Saw out to be such a big deal and then when it finally came out it was like "Yeah, whatever!" Pretty soon its gonna be like the people of Cecil B. Demented raging against bad cinema!
