Why are you all so full of anger and hatred? It seems like most of you only saw the cool parties, acid trips and inter-niche fights. You failed to look past that and see the real message behind this movie. Do you know why he gave up his Anarchist lifestyle? Because he realized something. He realized the self contradictory nature of Anarchistic life. He realized that the revolution will never work if its directed outward. It has to happen inside of us. In order to change the outer, you must first change the inner.

I'll second that Subitu. Emotions don't come on a rack with "one size fits all" or "wash at low heat". It's just who we are. And that's what our 'anarchic' protagonist of this story began to discover. He learned that people change, the world changes and not everyone hangs on to the past. Those around him that did caught stuck in an ugly timewarp of which he refused to be a part of and to get rid of that, meant understanding himself more. His world as he knew it wasn't a pit of wild reckless fun anymore but more of a downward spiral he felt he could do much better off without.

I read what everyone had to say about SLC Punk and to be honest, I don't think they have quite got the gist of it all. It's got absolutely smeg all to do with corporate America and the wild parties are just fun little space fillers. But I'm not trying to bring anyone down here either so to all above the wise Subtibu who posted for this movie - go watch it again, and not just the fighty bits with everyone screwing and partying on drugs.

If you really pay attention, you will get a very sad movie with a dark sense of humour which is basically telling you to just be yourselves.

There, that about wraps that up.
