I have to say, I really hate sports movies. No, I will rephrase that. Sports movies hate me. They know just what sort of obnoxious cliches to hurl at you, don't they? The rogue protagonist who doesn't want to be the best there ever is or even worse, the over optimistic trainer who has more than likely had all his/her limbs torn off but still manages to push the moody hero/heroine about cause honest'y, that's all they are good for. ^_^

Having said that though, this movie is HILARIOUS! Yeah yeah, the rogue soccer star is arrested for violence (what else is new) and the warden tries like hell to make him teach a bunch of prisoners. A la Sister Act perhaps, but it's one movie that's really got a lot of balls (excuse the pun).

If you also hate soccer, hate sports movies and hate cliches, watch it. It's got the lot. And it will suprisingly make you split your sides.
