Ichi the Killer is without a doubt one of the most schizophrenic, violent and nasty films ever to come out of the diseased mind of Miike Takeshi (Audition, Dead or Alive) but it is also brilliantly funny.

I don't want to give the plot away but it centers around Kamahara, a piereced, sadist with a thing for neon suits who is trying to find his Boos Anjo by torturing his way through the yakuza.

I could go on and on and on but it's something that you need to see for yourself. But if rape, blood, dismemberment and torture is you're thing then i implore you to go and see it.

Horrificly Brilliant! THE most violently spell-binding nightmare of a movie I have ever seen. Brutal Japanese Yakuza drama at its best w/ enough arterial spray and guts to coat the "HOLLYWOOD" sign. Takashi Miike, "Hong Kong's mad dog director" who decimated the limitations of graphic violence in "Dead or Alive", "Audition", "Visitor Q", and "City of Lost Souls" stylishly out-does himself in "Ichi the Killer" with shocking images and cutting-edge cinematography. And did i mention it's funny? Tragic understatement: The equivelant to seeing "A Clockwork Orange" in the 70's... Definately NOT for the squeamish or square! But be warned: After viewing "Ichi", theres not much left to watch. - 3 (broken) thumbs up- -(in my eye sockets).

ichi the killer is th best film i have seen in years,of course its violant and sick but what style! thank god mary whitehouse is not around to ban it.its also very funny somthing daily mail readers would never understand.

Not seen it yet but buying it tomorrow. Will let y'all know what it is like. Looking at the cover, it seems to be giving me the same feeling BATTLE ROYALE did before i'd seen that!

Just for the record.... BATTLE ROYALE is one of, if not the best film i've seen in a long time.

More people have to watch this, whwn you hear any mention of frying, the next scene is.....Well UNDESCRIBABLE, it will make u feel physical pain..

okay. . .i am a huge fan of bloody. . .visceral. . .slasher movies. . .

and i did love all of the torturous deaths in this movie. . .

but i found the plot to be extremely trite. . .the movie was just banal and entirely too long. . .
