that movie isnt to be taken as serious or of a philosophical kind.. i understand that different types of humors exist.. but to go as far as saying it sucks .... theres somehting youve not understood about it, or that i havent, cuz .. i mean, honeslt,y all these inside stupid simple jokes, the small attaching characters, the discussions with the witty remarks that are over everything else in.. stupidity and off-topic level. ....

I cracked up in the movie... they picked good actors to play in it. Ray Romano did an awsome job playing Manny. hes got a great sense of humor with a mix of sarcasm and family fun.

Clip out all the Scrat sequences, string them together, and you'd have a wonderful short film. The rest was okay, but not that memorable.
On a trivial note: Why Dodoes? Unlike many of the other critters in the film, they actually survived well past the ice age. The only reason they're gone now is because we found their island and wiped them out.

I'm a mum to a 13year old and a 6 year old and we saw the movie and really enjoyed it. Loved the hilarious ridiculous fun. That's what it's all about !

This is an awfull movie with a pitfull plot what ever happened to the good movies like beauty and the beast that were entertaining for kids and taught more important things when one grows old enough to understand them like the song Kill the Beast: ...It's a beast! One as tall as a mountain

but thats the point it doesnt take anything to get kids to have fun for petes sake they are kids is all they do. Why waste timew with a movie if all it produces what a kid can with ten match box cars and some wood blocks and at least that why they are using their imagination.

gee,Billy Pilgrim...you need to relax a bit...not every movie should be educational...there are movies who are supposed to be just fun,and to make you feel better.you know...sit with the family,watch a movie,and just laugh together...:)
i haven't seen it yet,but when i do i'll tell you what i think:)

I found this movie very sweet.. it has a very tender message about family and friendship. I also find it a bonus that it didn't contain a numerous amount off Broadway-esque songs. Be Our Guest racks my nerves like cotton rubbing against teeth! In anycase, I found the computer animation in this film amazing! Theres been some horribly CA films made. If anything, I think this movie helped advance CA technology. So, Bill Pilgrim, DOOM ON YOU for messing with Sid the Sloth! He's my homie!

i saw this movie last night. i found it quite fresh and witty. and the voice talent was exceptional. and i liked the way they used a very tight and conventional dramatic devise, of following three stories (diego, manny+sloth and scrat) and tying them up neatly. the absence of songs, as CherryBombshell says, is a welcome trend.
unlike, brother bear which i found quite manipulative and cliched.
all in all a very well made movie.
