I heard about them making a hackers 2 and that it was released about a year after the first hackers. I was wanting to know if this was true and where can I find the movie Hackers 2. I really would like to buy it as soon as possible.

Hackers 2 is actually Takedown Workprint and it was banned from the USA, so good look finding it to buy, you might want to try looking on Kazaa or what ever to download it.

The Hackers were....

Zero Cool/Crash Override

Phantom Phreak (The King and INEX)

Cereal Killer (As in Froot Loops)

Acid Burn

Lord Nikon (Photographic Memory, as in the Nikon camera)

I have the first two soundtracks, never have been able to find the third. Excellent stuff, I've always felt that the Hackers soundtracks and the Matrix soundtrack were groundbreaking in introducing good techno/trance to the masses.

Hackers soundtracks were HUGE in Scotland when I visited.

Peace out....

Cereal.

Yup, thems the passwords. Just wanted to post on Hackers 2, it has NOTHING to do with the first movie nd it sucks. The first movie rocked, though the reality of hacking isn't nearly that prestigous...it's still fun...if i were a hacker that is...anyway. HACK THE PLANET!

Just for those of you who are curious about hackers 2. It is no relevance at all to the first movie, it is actually about the famous hacker Kevin Mitnick. This is what is written on the back.

They tried to ban him....
They tried to thwart him...
They tried to bring him down...
But here is the story of the man who made headlines and mesmerised a nation.

Based on true events, this is an inside account of infamous hacker Kevin Mitnick, the most wanted computer crimintal in US history.

Working alone, Mitnick managed to outsmart and outwit the largest corporations and authorities in the US; and despite his ability to amass a fortune from his hacking, he refused to do so. He wasn't in it for money- hacking was his obsession.

Finally convicted of numerous hacking- related felonies, Mitnick was jailed without a trial or bail.
Released from prison in January 2001, he remained probation until January 2003 and continues to be closely monitored. After all, he is the only hacker to ever make the FBI's most wanted list.

Mitnicks exploits made him a legend among hackers and now his incredible story is brought to life against a backdrop of controversy and outrage.

Woah. I had NO idea man! This kicks ass ... but wait why did they ban Hackers 2 from the U.S?? I told you guys, USA BLOWS!! Haha not just for this but eh, FUCK POLICE BRUTALITY!!

cereal killer was mostly correct when he listed the hackers' names, with one small exception. when it came to phantom phreak, he mentioned in the movie they referred to him as the king of nynex (pronounced 9-x).. the reason being, of the group he was the phone phreaker and back in the days of heavy phreaking the most sought after phone system to 'phreak' was NYNEX, otherwise known as the New York, New England eXchange.

Takedown is full of falsifications and misrepresentations. If you wanna know the truth about Kevin, then see Hackers: Freedom Downtime - Documentary. And then watch the Kevin Mitnick interview. If you're lucky, you can find them on Google video.

Hack the planet!
