Best movie I have ever seen, a tour-de-force starring Alan Bates, screenplay by Harold Pinter, devastating dialogue, many literary allusions (esp. to Beatrix Potter), probably slightly misogynistic, Please let me know if you have seen it and what you thought of it. I don't know anyone else who has seen it except my twin brother. We watch it every year on our birthday and laugh all the way through it.
