The 1946 black & white movie which stars Celia Johnson & Trevor Howard is still popular, even although old fashioned values win in the end.
The nostalgia of time and place, for example the refreshment room on the railway station & various activities of other members of the cast. All add to the warm comfortable feeling when watched after so many years since it was made.
