13th Warrior

The 13th Warrior is an awsome display of how to overcome differances in order to accomplish tasks in which you need someone elses help. The poem called Beowulf is interpreted through this movie perfectly. I am a very big fan of this movie and feel failure if I don't watch this movie at "least" twice a week.

Beowulf is a great poem. Warrior does depict it well. However, I don't think Ahmed is the true hero. I think it is Buliwyf. He is the one who dies a tragic and heroic death and has his story told through Ahmed. Anyway, they're both very good stories.

Indeed this is a great movie. I really love it much... but it lacks some historical research.
For example, the Nords (Vikings) had their own writing system for tounsands of years, but still Buliwyf was quite amazed by the Arabic knowledge of "writing system" (draw sounds).
Also, the Vikings weren't such savages as they are shown in the beginning (washing faces from same bowel as everybosdy, and spitting there in turns). Also, Ahmed couldn't make himself this arabic sabre from a Viking Longsword just like he did in the movie, it's absurd.
