this is probably the best movie i've seen in 5 or 6 years. it was very finely drawn out. the characterization was wonderful. it appeared to have a great deal of respect for the indigenous culture that it portrayed, while not preaching about the disruptive consequences of 'progress'.
also Keisha Castle-Hughes is a pretty neat kid. she was winging it in this movie and pulled off a superb performance. once she learns how to act, i think she's on the way to a very rewarding career.

Enjoyable movie but it lacked depth in parts.There were parts in the movie that could have had more input.But Keisha Castle-Hughes showed wonderful acting ability.I am sure we will see more of her in her future endeavours.

what parts did you think were lacking in depth? btw have you read the book? i haven't but plan to.
