Walk The Line
Forum
I'm very surprised no one's written anything here yet.......
Well what can I say - it was a brilliant film. Even for non-Johnny Cash fans like my mum, it was great. I was most impressed by Pheonix's & Witherspoon's singing !! Reese sounded VERY like June Carter.... even if the actress IS slightly annoying....
A film that contradicts one (female might i add) music critic who claimed that Johnny Cash's career & life was 'sexy'
Wonderful performances all-round........... especially loved the begining when you heard the boom-chica-boom outside the prison & the camera angle of the wooden "folsom" sign outside the building................ & cash lightly touching the metal blade before it goes back into his childhood.....
Really loved this film - 9 outta 10 - i REALLY dont like Ms. Witherspoon.......... cannot seem to overcome my principles -haha

I never thought that I'd agree on Tchock on anything, but--to my surprise--there is concurrance here. 'Walk the Line' is an excellent movie and especially poignant for fans of his music. Treat yourself to a real delight. SEE THE MOVIE!!!

watched it on DVD last nite ......... MUCHO-impressed !!!!!! pheonix REALLY nailed the *Man In Black* ahhhhhhhhhh the "Freight Train (boom-chicka-boom) Sound"
" i shot a man in reno just ....... to ...... watch ....... him................die"
if any of you "out there" ever find yourself in Sacramento, Califirnia i thouroughly recommend a little detour to Folsom Prison & a visit to it's museum outside the 'Main Gate" there's some cool memrobilia on display from Johnnys visit (as well as an IMPRESSIVE array of confiscated *shanks* )

I liked the movie so much, I ran out and bought the dvd. Then I watched Three more times. All the actors did a great job.

Who knows what happened to the real people, but I enjoyed the approximation. It was nice to hear the actors, instead of overdubs, that raises it a lot in my esteem, both for the movie itself for doing that, and for the actors, for making that effort to be true.
