As a kid i thought "Giant Robot" was great! I guess I'm still a kid. because I still think "Giant Robot" Kicks Ass!! Him and "The War Of The Gargantuas". Are my two favorite Japanese Monster Movies.

I was wondering if any of you knew where I could find a copy of this movie. Up until now, I thought that I was the only one who had ever seen it. No one else (at work, my friends) has ever heard of it.

Thanks!

Voyage Into Space was one the most unique and inventive sci-fi movies made. As a youngster in the '70's the only American movies as entertaining as this were the science-fiction and horror films of the 50's. It seems that modest film budgets can foster great imagination and ingenuity.

I saw Giant Robot as 6 year old boy in the 70s and until now, that is one show I have not forgotten. My imagination would run wild thinking what I would tell Giant Robot to do and where to take me, I made believe I would save the world. Hell, I was even mad I wasn't oriental to pretend to play Jonny Sokko, LOL.

Remember the ending when giant robot grabbed guillotine
in that bear clutch and proceeded to fly him up into outer-
space, not taking any chance, not giving yeild for his own
life force. To think, that a robot (GIANT ROBOT), a machine made of nuts and bolts and circuits would have
the most heart and compassion towards mankind and also
too sacrifice himself the way he did goes far beyond my
speculation and concept even today.

I too saw this as a young boy. I have been looking for a copy on vhs or dvd so I can watch it with my kids. I'm curious if they will enjoy it as much as I did.

amazon has it on dvd for twenty bucks. i remember the music being cool and the main bad guy throwing his fingernail and it being explosive. the coolest thing had to be it was spy like james bond and had the giant monsters at the same time. i still remembered the title 20 years later....at least peace
