| Discussion: Van Helsing I saw Van Helsing last night, and Hugh Jackman was great, also another Aussie so I am biast here! I saw him an interview and he said his head is not in proportion to his body as he has a small head and they had to get a large hat for him to wear for the movie, weird!! He does wear a large hat in the movie. Well the special effects were awsome!! Anyone seen it yet?? Other than that it SuCkEd...big time! Don't get me wrong some of the screen play was good, and Hugh Jackman was very good, but I found the legend mixing to be pathetic. I loved Hugh in this movie. He did great with what they gave him. He and Brother Carl were the saving points of that movie. Kate was a waste... her outfit was dumb and campy... I mean really?!?! What's up with the geri curls and the high heels!!! And her accent was BAD! The effects were good but nothing exceptional, the plot was predictable and most of the acting was campy at best. Her brother wasn't too bad, but wasted and Frankenstien's monster was ok. The bastardizing of the legends was ok by me... I love the old movies and books but don't mind them being "cut and pasted" as it were. But I would have preferred it if the plot had made better sense. Anyway... Hugh's great in a BAD movie! >>By Dare the movie wasn't good. i mean....definitely,it was just stupid. i felt embarassed watching it. you know, it's like when you are at a concert and the vocalist is singing extremely bad, you get embarassed for him. that's kinda what i felt while watching it....it was a horrible movie in my opinion. not that i watched it till the end, but...whatever! >>By Eli_Molko i realise a lot of you seemed to like the film for Mr Jackman, that fact that you are girls may have something to do with that...... :0).......... so let me just add this..... This is one of the worst films I've ever seen. He's alright in it, it's the other actors that murder the film. And the script... and the story... and the special effects... it's just awful! Hugh Jackman is much better in the X-Men films anyway.
