this is the best movie ever- basically because it completely resolves around drug addicts. The charisma is great and I personally love the toliet scene. Watch it late at night..around 2...or while your high- and you gain a much better opposition to the movie. A classic.

a cinetamantic genious. Falling through the floor going to grave everything tied together. Straight edge soccer star gone insane is a story in its self. If I had three hands Id give three thumbs up. Will go down in drug movie history

The scene where Ewan is thrown out of the girl's room and He pulls the condom off himself! What other actor would ever do that? He's amazing in this film aswell as Robert Carlyle. A Great great movie. One which you can only appreciate if you've been high or dying for a fix. It captures the whole essence of modern drug culture. Classic.

This is now one of my all time favourite films. It is the kind of film that you just have to see. It's a part of popular culture today I love it. I've seen it 6 times and I still get a different message each time I watch it. Also watching it in different situations and at different times sure as hell effects your perspective of the film and you get something different out of it each time. This is a classic British Film nationally, and ultimately internationaly. Go Ewan you rawwwwwk baby! \m/. Robert Carlyle's performance is very incredible. I was genuinely scared by him a couple of times.

This movie is rubbish, and totally over rated. I know for a fact that Heroin Users in the UK do not act or look like this.

And you must be the drug addict in UK pro right? gimme a break.....you can generalize people like that.
This movie owns and is in my top 3 favorites......its on tv alot so watch it!

Absolutely fantastic film. It shows you what the British film industry can produce with a little bit of money, with a lot of fantastic actors, directors, and above all writers.

Irvine Welsh's book is a classic in every sense, and everyone who has seen the film MUST read the book to understand the full impact of the film.

Heres hoping the follow up, Porno, when it is finally made, lives up to Trainspottings high standards.

a typical danny boyle mood, a typical irvine welsh approach.
both geniuses amazed me.

I liked this movie. I found it entertaining but I have no way of knowing if it's realistic, because I don't know anything about the drug scene in the UK. I thought the film did a good job of showing the power of addiction. The scene where they find the baby who died of neglect is pretty gruesome.

I competely loved this movie, the novel was just as good to those who haven't read it. Irvine Welsh was an incrediable author.

My fave scene is where Ewan's character overdose and it seems like he is falling into this hole (with the carpet underneath him). The song that plays goes, "such a perfect day..." It felt so peaceful... or am I just being weird again???
