| Discussion: The Prophecy Why are they squatting in this movie? >>By Nancy Nancy, In ancient architecture angels and gargoyals are carved onto the tops and sides of castles, buildings and sometimes even homes. They are usually carved in a squatting position. This position suggests a certain readiness to protect or attack. By the angels doing this in the Prophecy movies, it tells the viewer that those artists who made those ancient carvings also had encounters with angels and gargoyals. It's simply connecting the movie to a reality to make the movie more real to you. Hope this was helpful.
