I savoured every moment of the movie watching Bruce Willis - incredibly cool. But it pisses me off that they made his character made all those classic Holliwood bad-guy mistakes - talking too much, leaving clues! A real Jackal, as cool as Bruce Willis, would never have screwed up this operation.
Also, I like the book "Day of the Jackal" and the old Jackal movie better, because it was cleaner, closer to the original story, sleeker.
But Bruce Willis rocks, no doubt about it. If Holliwood didn't make him do all those classic bad-guy screwups, Bruce-Jackal would have accomplished his mission just like that!

I liked that he left all of the clues. He wanted them to know that it was okay for them to trail him because his cool confidence said "They'll never catch me." It makes it that much sweeter when he's finally caught. I hate that the Russian woman had to die, though. Couldn't they just have injured her really badly or something?

Who sings the song that the Jackel plays on that radio during the house shootout?

The song that plays during the shootout is, Red Tape by Agent Provocateur. Same track being used in the new 'Underworld' movie.
