Discussion: The Importance Of Being Earnest

One of the greats! It was everything a comedy should be. I'd recommend it to anyone who is a fan of high comedy (although Dumb & Dumber fans might not appreciate it as much). Colin Firth and Rupert Everett are amazing co-stars and had excellent chemistry. They don't make 'em like this anymore.

Sorry but i'be only seen the original film...sounds terrible doesn't it not even the original play!
And that is a great film! It led me onto more Oscar Wilde work and that too is really great......

" An ideal husband " (starring Rupert Everett and Kate Blanchett) was good, too

There is a movie?

Yes, a movie released in 2000 . I believe the director was Oliver Parker. Next to Rupert Everett and Cate Blanchett, there were Julianne Moore and Minnie Driver. I liked even better than "the importance of being Earnest", although the latter is my favourite play.
