| Discussion: The Happening The Happening is, despite all of its stupidness, an interesting motion picture. It's clearly a reference to B-Movie craziness. The atrembled camera angles, close-ups, dialogs and even the plot of the movie is a reference in that way. Director, M. Night Shymalan is a special man. Because he's creative and by doing this movie, he is a brave man in Hollywood. The reason of why he did this movie like that is obvious: he has something to say. He's not like most people. He has a different mind. Looks to life from a unique angle. I think that's why this movie is a little bit uncomfortable for average audience. It's a dazzling cinema experience.
