Discussion: The Great Rock N Roll Swindle

Such a crap movie bout the Sexpistols. Allthough funny sometimes and ofcourse it got it's great music. Most hilaric probably is the visit to Ronald Briggs (i believe the name is), the man who fleed to Brazil after committing his big trainrobbery in Britain. Sitting on the beach with him and waving at the camera........wrong it is, so very wrong. Yet i can find some humor in it.
Also a little role for Malcolm mc. Laren, the manager of the band and ofcourse Sid's cover of 'My way' where he stupidly enough pulls his gun and starts to shoot at the audience. I really cannot find any logics in the movie but it is a commercial highlight of the punkhype (how ironic) of the late seventies. Who killed Bambi?

"The Great Rock & Roll Swindle" is manager Malcolm McLarens' *take* on the whole Sex Pistols saga.
well worth checking-out is "The Filth & The Fury" .... which is the bands (sans Sid;) account of events.
