Traders, outside sources, anthropologists, technologies, etc. had permated the Ju/Hoansi life by the time this movie was made in 1978. The people were acting, the main character /Gau wasn't even a hunter. I thought that the idea of the "Coke" Bottle was extremly intereating because it was something very normal for one culture and a gift for another.
