| Discussion: The Doors Loved this movie (Val Kilmer version) first time I saw it while young Wasn't as good the 2nd time round I saw it many years later. I think you have to be a Doors fan to fully appreciate it. >>By ftad Being a Doors fans helps. Maybe that's why I liked it. It's also a good movie if you're interested in the sixties in general, but I think Oliver Stone idealizes the era a little. I heard Ray Manzarek say in an interview that Jim Morrison wasn't nearly as serious in real life as he is in the movie.
