Discussion: The Core Hey this movie is kind of like armagedon but w/e i still like it! >>By Jane This movie is great. It has tongue-in-cheek jabs all the way through it, which allowed the truth to be told--idiot scientists who are governed by their god, the almighty "$", are shown to be the cause of a lot of our woes (hoof and mouth disease, the latest poultry disease, etc.). Another film, from the 1950s, that displays governmental incompetence was "Destination Moon", a Robert Heinlein story. Another film that shows how destructive (narrow-minded) political intervention can be was the Dan Ackroyd film "The ARROW". >>By Meliorism this was one of the best movies i have seen so far >>By *Vovin*
