Haha I'm the first? Well this movie was awesome I thought. It's very educational and shocking. ..yay!

>>By Jane   (Friday, 28 Jan 2005 04:21)

I agree, although films like this always leave me a little depressed and fairly powerless to change anything in my lifetime.
I`ve said it before and I`ll say it again...liberal facism is the only way.

>>By docjay   (Friday, 28 Jan 2005 19:42)

i cant believe someone would actually pay to see this movie but i guess its just the sign of the times

>>By theli#1   (Friday, 4 Feb 2005 15:06)

Why should no-one pay to see this movie?

>>By docjay   (Tuesday, 22 Feb 2005 17:33)

because this movie is retarded i cant believe peole would pay to see some dumbass mae himself sick its disgusting

>>By MetalBladeRecords   (Wednesday, 23 Feb 2005 13:46)

I saw this... And I haven't eaten a Mc Donalds since... The fact is, the public will pay to see this kinda stuff, because we want to see what could happen, without experiencing it for ourselves. That's all it is!!!

>>By Bitch Fit   (Friday, 11 Mar 2005 23:49)

I thought some of the facts were totally disgusting, like McDonalds is the largest purchasers of beef waste products so they can call their pattys "all beef". I also thought they guy went way over board to get fat and unhealthy. I would not pay to see this movie, I thought it was weak.

>>By jfredricks   (Friday, 18 Mar 2005 19:12)

I thought this movie was great, whats not to like? a guy eating so much mcdonalds that he makes himslef sick just so he can prove a point, you've gotta love it! and its about time these issues were raised! Im mean kids are just gettin obese and unhealthier as times move one. I could not belive the size of the super size meals! I live in Ireland so our large is america's medium and most people i know would barely order a large anyway!!! it was actually shocking to watch! and although im not as naeive to think that all americans are fat i do think that this movie was a good insight to what can happen.

You have the power to choose a non-violent diet....choose vegetarianism!!

>>By giambotta   (Tuesday, 22 Mar 2005 21:37)

how about No if i had to choose a diet it would be a carnivore

>>By MetalBladeRecords   (Wednesday, 6 Apr 2005 00:59)

the most distubing part of this movie was finding out that not only does our education system underpay teachers, shortchange kids, and turn a blind eye to sexual education. . .but it also doesn't teach healthy living. . .

oh and i love how the same people who feed prisoners. . .feed our children. . .wonderful. . .lets feed them cheap, frozen lunches. . .devoid of nutritional value at all. . .

plus, i'm a vegetarian. . .i don't preach at meat eaters. . .but honestly. . .people need to take a good look at what they're doing to their bodies when they eat so much meat. . .

meat isn't meant to be a main course. . .no one should eat a 20oz porterhouse. . .and think that's healthy. . .protein is meant to come from things other than meat. . .try some beans. . .tofu. . .nuts. . .seeds. . .and in eating food that comes from the earth. . .it's avoiding slaughtering endless animals. . .

have you ever seen the disgusting ways that animals are raised? killed? have you seen all of the hormones that are pumped into them? there's no way the meat you're eating is close to healthy. . .or good for you. . .

>>By drowninginflame   (Wednesday, 27 Apr 2005 10:37)

Main criticism is that the guy forced himself to eat supersized meals even if apparently full (which is why he barfed). Normal people throw their meal away when they can't eat anymore.

ha ha and i and i am over wate

>>By hislop   (Thursday, 28 Apr 2005 18:44)

I missed this film when it was on last night, but my friend saw it and has sworn to abandon junk food and cigarettes, so it must be pretty good.

>>By Flagg   (Friday, 29 Apr 2005 22:59)

i dumped fastfood after watching this movie and im doing myself good.

quite a disturbing note: a lot of kids didn't know who Jesus Christ was.

>>By katasonja   (Saturday, 30 Apr 2005 03:18)

actually i thought it was funnier that the kid thought jesus christ was george w. bush. . .

hmmm. . .makes a person wonder. . .

>>By drowninginflame   (Saturday, 30 Apr 2005 07:13)

How many kids don't know who Vishnu is? Or Buddha? Or Mohammad? Probably alot more than don't know who Jesus is. But does anyone find that disturbing? I wonder why not.

>>By Flagg   (Sunday, 1 May 2005 19:00)

I find it funny actually, especailly funny that of the kids who do know who Jesus is very few of them realize the Jesus was a Jew and even more so not white and a bastard to his people. Also funny is that Buddha asked not to be worshipped. Mohammad? well Ali was just a great boxer. Vishnu can find his own fanfare.
anyways back to the movie. I must agree with the dude who said no one should pay to see this movie. Why?
Because if you have to watch this entire movie to realize fastfood is really bad for you and if you eat it for a month you'll die then well a fool and his money are soon to part.

>>By Billy Pilgrim   (Monday, 2 May 2005 04:54)

but the us is predominantly christian, that's the point im driving at.

>>By katasonja   (Tuesday, 3 May 2005 10:25)

well the predominant religion may be christianity. . .

but it's a very whitewashed version of it. . .and more often than not. . .it's used to justify overzealous ideals. . .jesus loved everyone. . .christians seem to love only the people that they themselves see fit. . .

if you are a christian. . .remember. . .god is the only judge. . .

well so you say. . .

and hey. . .what happened to the discussion about this movie???

>>By drowninginflame   (Wednesday, 4 May 2005 00:36)

Ya America is mainly christian, India is mainly Hindu, Pakistan is mainly Muslim and so on and so furth its called a majority their everywhere, just takes three people. As for the moive theres not much to discuss its pretty strait forward so i guess its been shifted into some random conversation about religion with no clear topic other then well religion

>>By Billy Pilgrim   (Wednesday, 4 May 2005 07:10)

Wait an F'n minute here, how the hell did you get "quite a disturbing note: a lot of kids didn't know who Jesus Christ was."
from
"quite a disturbing note: a lot of kids didn't know who Jesus Christ was."
which isnt disturbing at all I'd like to point out.

>>By Billy Pilgrim   (Wednesday, 4 May 2005 07:12)

fine.

>>By katasonja   (Wednesday, 4 May 2005 09:09)

i was whatching supersize me and the man was having macdonodles for 30 days

>>By hislop   (Wednesday, 4 May 2005 12:28)

what's macdonodles? a mcdonalds rip off or something?
kidding. : )

>>By katasonja   (Thursday, 5 May 2005 09:47)

The world would be a better place without either organised religion or fast food.

>>By Flagg   (Thursday, 5 May 2005 19:26)

i agree with mr. pilgrim up there. . .

i think it's more disturbing that so many kids do know who jesus is. . .

>>By drowninginflame   (Friday, 6 May 2005 07:42)

Flagg the world would be a better place if people had the self control not to use religion and fast food in such excess.
And actually whats more disturbing is the limited knowledge kids have of their Jesus figure. It scares me when a kid tells me of god jesus hell heaven and all of those things but is obviously ignorant beyond the sermon they've learned to repeat.
theres a difference between faith and blind faith (mainly one word but thats besides the point)

>>By Billy Pilgrim   (Saturday, 7 May 2005 21:01)

i can understand that. . .i'm not religious. . .but i do believe that a person can learn a lot from the teachings of jesus. . .he seemed like a pretty cool guy. . .and he had a lot of good things to say. . .

i think that you're absolutely right. . .that's what bothers me so much about movies like the passion. . .it focuses on the fact that he died brutally. . .

why not focus on his teachings. . .maybe learn a thing or two. . .and become a better person?

>>By drowninginflame   (Saturday, 7 May 2005 22:38)

Buddha's teachings are better. Zen is best of all and that's not a religion at all. Religion can be helpful and beneficial, but there's too much dogma. And it's the dogma that allows it to get warped and people to use it as justification for genocide etc.

Did you know... originally the way Christians prayed originally was by meditating in much the same way Buddhists or just practitioners of Zen do. Because if you go far enough into the meditative state you're supposed to hear a voice, and Christians believed this was God. Then Christianity became the official religion of the Roman Empire and someone declared that certain people are closer to God than others, and these people are priests, so everyone should go to the church and listen to the priest and do what he tells you. And anyone who decided they'd rather meditate was slaughtered.
