| Discussion: Stranger Than Fiction I was shocked at first. The movie starts with the narrator right from the start. I thought the story would work up to that. After the initial shock, I was able to get in to this movie. It's a little on the dry side, but it is pulled off very well. By the end, I thought "Wow" that was an excellent movie. >>By Sticksmateo I wouldn't go so far as to say excellent, but it was enjoyable. Not to spoil anything but I thought the end was kind of weak. Good soundtrack though. >>By Slurm I thought this movie worked on a lot of levels, and had some delightfully original elements. I was sorry it received such a tepid response in the theaters. Emma Thompson had my pal and me howling out loud as the archetypal novelist, but since we were the only ones laughing in a full house perhaps that explains why the film wasn't more successful with critics or the box office. >>By humdinger You are not logged in.
