| Discussion: Ringu I heard that "Ringu", although made into a movie based on comics and a t.v. show, started out as an urban Legend. Ringu is based on a book as are the others (that"s what my host family told me). i guess the books are Ringu, Spiral, and Loop. The manga (Ringu, Ringu0, Ringu01, Ringu02, and Rasen... I think that"s it) and tv series (I thought that was pretty crappy. They change the cursed video for the tv series into an odd music video) came out after the book did. The manga is pretty new (I got Ringu 0 and Ringu) and Ringu is different from the movie, but not much. If you want a dvd of Ringu, you can get a Chinese dvd with English and chinese subtitles. I'm not sure, but I think Ringu is a 15 year old movie. There is a rumor that is going threwout the entire city where I live. And the rumor is that There was actually a very fisrt RIngu, not the one that actually came out, but one that was stopped of comming out because it was "too scary". I mean, like people watching it, and not being able to go on living their lives because they were too scared.The people that watched it, had to get help by experienced Psychologists. Now, I know this sounds realy stupid, because everyone knows that its just a movie, but I am very curious. Has anyone heard of this? And I have also heard that because this movie was so terrifying, that it can not be sold legally in the United States. Im sorry if I sound stupid wondering about this, but its very interesting to me. An article published in the Oregonian talks about how an nurse at an old folks home rented a video from some mom and pop video store in the area and the 9 nursing home patients who watched it were found dead in there rooms at 12:00 a.m. their faces frozen with fear. 2.) A man in Oregon was found dead whacking off in his trailer. The weird thing is, his face was found frozen with fear and he was watching a gay porno tape. The tape had apparently finished and the T.V. was covered with white fuzz. The problem with that detail is when a tape ends on a VCR like the one he owned a blue screen comes up, not the white fuzz. >>By Old case files |
