After watching the movie and reading the book. It sounds like there could be at least 6 or more reasons why these girls disappeared. However I have made my conclusion these girls disappeared because they must of slipped and fell on to the hard rock and fell down some way to another shelf of rock that could not be accessed by humans or any animals except birds. The only way to access this shelf of rock is by falling or from some flying machine. However many people believe some spirit was controlling the top part of the rock. I hope that one day the mystery will be uncovered to all the people of the world.

i merely picked up de book to kill boredom but now de entire story has gotten me hooked.i wan to find de dvd of the film, it looks reeli interestin.im torn between practicality an de supernatural.haf de girls fallen into a crevice which goes down so deep nobody found deyr bodies or haf dey juz simply vanished.blinked out of existance.i reeli wannr noe wot happened.haf dey ran away?but why?wad abt de governess?hope dese can be solved soon, tho nobody rmbs it animore.

My teacher got the movie out yesterday every 1 thought it would crap but i watched it, but was better than the matrix reloaded but we havent watched it all yet so i have been wondering all night. so the sarvo we watching the end of it

the book of picnic at hanging rock is very different to the movie,in the book it suggests that sarahwas killed in the movie there is no such thing. i think that the book is way better than the movie, as the movie tended to b slow and dull in some parts. good acting tho

I first saw the film late one night when i was 12 it made an impression on me like no other film, not just the way it was shot but what it didn't actually tell us .Usually a film without answers at the end is dissapointing but this film got me thinking of what actually happened and i am still unsure 25 years later.
I have been to hanging rock twice and it is without doubt the strangest place i have ever visited,every rock has a face it is cold and hot depending whereabouts on the rock you are,also some parts of the rock are windy and 2 yards further it is still.

I believe Miranda knew she was going to go missing and the other girls infatuation with her lead them to disappear as well.
The teacher says "now i know" know what "Miranda is an angel a Bottichelli angel. In fact Miranda was an alien or from another time and took the girls and the teacher with her.
